Visiting Artist Talk: Judy Linn

Last Friday was Judy Linn's opening at the Esther Massry Gallery, followed by a visiting artist talk. It was great to hear her speak about her work and processes. I found it amusing that often the things she discussed went against conventional tips on how to take good pictures; cropping and straightening horizon lines aren't things she does! I always enjoy a glimpse into the mind of the artist- do you prefer to "listen" only to the artwork? Or are you interested by the artist as well as the work?
