Today two of my paintings, Tangled and Tall Rough, were accepted into the exhibition at the Neil Hellman Library at the College of Saint Rose as part of the Your Work Here show. It's always interesting to see what gets picked out of the works you submit; the rejects here were Studio Study; October Mornings and Painted Over.
The spring semester started last week and I'm excited to dig back in. I'll be continuing to explore the thread of thought started in 2013 with my last painting, Tangled: a layered, jumbled environment with moments of structural clarity and moments of flattened chaos. These are both unfinished.
This might shock you all, but in addition to PAINTING books, I enjoy reading. *GASP*
I stopped in at The Book House, in Albany and these two followed me home- I'm not sure which to start with...
Others devoured over the break include The Blind Contessa's New Machine (Carey Wallace), Tell The Wolves I'm Home (Carol Rifka Brunt), and Sunshine Sketches of a Little Town (Stephen Leacock).
